Tell us about yourself, hobbies, interests, family, job, etc.

Matt and I have been married for 20 years and we have one daughter. I love to travel, read books and hang out with friends. I also love going to sporting events that my daughter Kristen is cheering for.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I started in February 2020

What do you remember about your first CrossFit experience?

I remember how welcoming and helpful everyone was. I love how every movement is reviewed before you start.

What do you most enjoy about CrossFit?

I like that I can go in the morning and get it out of the way for the day and that I’m focusing on increasing my strength as well as cardio.

What do you most enjoy about being part of Light the Fire CrossFit family?

What I enjoy about being a part of LTF is that everyone is very encouraging and helpful.

What motivates you to come to the box?

My health, before starting CrossFit my mobility was getting very limited and I wanted to be free of that.

What is you most recent PR/biggest accomplishment?

My most recent accomplishment is that I am able to do anchored situps.

What is your favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?

Deadlifts are my favorite lift, I’m also pretty good at squats.

What is your least favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?


What is your current CrossFit goal?

My current goal is to be able to run around the block and to be able to do unassisted situps.

What would you tell a newbie or someone that has never done CrossFit?

YOU CAN DO IT!! There are modifications for all the moves to match your current fitness level.

Have you had a life changing experience since starting CrossFit?

Feeling more confident in my physical abilities.

How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the box?

I have made new friends and can walk up stairs with ease. I also feel stronger/more confident
