Tell us about yourself, hobbies, interests, family, job, etc.
I have been a member of LTF for 6 months. I have been married to my wonderful wife Megan (which I’m sure most of you know) for almost 6 years. We have the cutest 4 y/o daughter Oakleigh. I’m an operating room nurse. In our spare time we enjoy going to our cabin in the north woods or going anywhere that has a beach.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?
6 Months

What do you remember about your first CrossFit experience?
It was bring a friend day, and there were 18 people at the 5:30pm class. I remember feeling weak, and ready to get stronger.

What do you most enjoy about CrossFit?
I enjoy coming into the gym and pushing myself to be better and do better. CrossFit will humble you quickly!

What do you most enjoy about being part of Light the Fire CrossFit family?
Everyone is so encouraging. Even when you are feeling defeated from a workout people are always there to pick you up and tell you how good of a job you did and cheer you on.

What motivates you to come to the box?
Working out and doing the wods gives me great energy to start my days off right. Seeing the progress that I have made in just 6 months, encourages me to keep pushing to become a better version of myself.

What is your most recent PR/biggest accomplishment?
Making 3 PRs this last week in the 3 lifts. My deadlift went up 30 pounds!

What is your favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?
I like deadlifts and power cleans

What is your least favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?

Lungsters, squat cleans, and thrusters

What is your current CrossFit goal?
To do a pullup!

What would you tell a newbie or someone that has never done CrossFit?
Just do it…you won’t regret it.

Have you had a life changing experience since starting CrossFit?
Yeah, I get 2 hours less sleep on the mornings I go to 5am! Kidding, I believe it has helped my marriage and relationships.

How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the box?
I feel stronger doing daily activities and I feel more confident
