Tell us about yourself, hobbies, interests, family, job, etc.
I work Mon-Fri at Little Angels Childcare and Preschool, firefighter for Monroe Twp fire department, and a game master at Monroe escape rooms. My hobbies include doing crafts or art projects, coloring and hanging out with my family when possible. I love being silly with my 5 year old niece.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I have been doing CrossFit for 1 year and 2 months.
What do you remember about your first CrossFit experience?
My first CrossFit experience was new and a little nerve breaking. I knew that I needed it but just getting started was a struggle.
What do you most enjoy about CrossFit?
The bonds between everyone, the support of everyone, and the dedication.
What do you most enjoy about being part of Light the Fire CrossFit family?
The constant push to keep going and all of the support.
What motivates you to come to the box?
The progress I have made helps to keep me going.
What is you most recent PR/biggest accomplishment?
Besides passing the fire agility test, it would be surpassing my old levels for rowing and flexibility.
What is your favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?
Jump ropes, situps, deadlifts
What is your least favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?
Running, air bike, wall balls
What is your current CrossFit goal?
Complete a regular pushup
What would you tell a newbie or someone that has never done CrossFit?
It is a lot of work but it is super fun and totally worth it. You also get so much support behind you.
Have you had a life changing experience since starting CrossFit?
I became a firefighter for Monroe Twp fire department because of CrossFit
How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the box?
I am not as stressed and I am a better team player. I also don’t doubt myself as much.
