Tell us about yourself, hobbies, interests, family, job, etc.

I’m 35 and I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life because of my hard work and my LTF fam always pushing me to my limits and believing in me even on days I don’t believe in myself. I’m a school bus driver, I love kids and I have 3 of my own, Audrina 16, Alex 11, and Patience 9. They are my biggest supporters and motivation to stay healthy. We love CrossFit, fishing, swimming and riding Atvs.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

What do you remember about your first CrossFit experience?

I remember the excitement, anticipation, how terrified I was and how sore my legs were after my first couple foundation classes. Definitely love at first WOD.

What do you most enjoy about CrossFit?

The feeling during and after the WOD I love pushing myself (not at first), the mental clarity and being strong!

What do you most enjoy about being part of Light the Fire CrossFit family?

Everyone is like family. They push you, help you in anyway, cheer you on and make you feel like your at home no matter your fitness level.

What motivates you to come to the box?

Determination! To be a better me to stay healthy, get stronger and the biggest is my mental health. I don’t know where I would be today without the box.

What is you most recent PR/biggest accomplishment?

3 PRs in the last testing week!!! 200lbs Back Squat, 255lbs Deadlift and 90lbs Strict Press!

What is your favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?

Back Squats, Deadlift and Power Cleans.

What is your least favorite wod, lift, movement, or skill?

Burpee‘s!

What is your current CrossFit goal?

New Deadlift PR and a heavy snatch in the future.

What would you tell a newbie or someone that has never done CrossFit?

Consistency is key even if you get discouraged, never give up.

Have you had a life changing experience since starting CrossFit?

I am more mentally and physically stronger than I have ever been. My kids look up to me, they eat healthier and also love staying fit.

How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the box?

It has definitely helped my family become healthier! I have all the confidence in the world. I aim to be a better me in all aspects of life.
