Bio

 

   I found CrossFit after becoming bored with my exercise routine. I had been a runner for a number of years, but was getting bored with the same routine every day. My boyfriend at the time (and now my husband), Bill introduced me to CrossFit and I never looked back. CrossFit has helped me learn to embrace my body and all that is capable of. Since starting CrossFit, I have been able to let go of the desire to be skinny, and now focus on being healthy & what my body is capable of doing. CrossFit helped me cope with my coursework during PT school, and continually helps me strive to be the best version of me I can be. I enjoy introducing others to the community of CrossFit and watching them grow through CrossFit.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • CrossFit Level 2 certified

  • Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training (Albion College) National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) – Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)

  • Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from University of Michigan

  • Practicing oupatient physical therapist in orthopedics & sports medicine

  • CrossFitting since 2012

  • Winner of 2013 CrossFit Downriver’s Competition: Downriver Open –Women Rx division

  • Excollegiate cross-country & track runner at Albion College (5K, 6K, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase)
